Guava EasyCD4% Assay
for monitoring treatment of pediatric patients with HIV/AIDS
Absolute CD4 T-cell counts in children vary with age and development, so additional parameters are needed to monitor progression of pediatric HIV infection. An accepted indicator for this patient population is CD4 percentage (CD4%), which is the absolute CD4 T-cell count expressed as a percentage of total lymphocytes.
The Guava EasyCD4®% Assay provides both absolute CD4 T-cell counts and CD4% values with the same simplicity and ease-of-use as the Guava EasyCD4 Assay. The EasyCD4% Assay yields comparable results to clinical lab predicate methods for both CD4% and CD4 counts.
